1. Access Moodle
Go to Moodle via the following link:
or Open the official SAS website at sas.uuc.edu
- Click Moodle
- Click to "Continue with Microsoft 365"
- Enter your university email address ending with @uuc.edu (If you do not have a university email address yet, please contact sas.support@uuc.edu.)
- Then click Next, enter your password, and select Sign In to access the system. (If you do not remember your password or need a new one, please contact sas.support@uuc.edu.)
- Note: It is recommended to select Stay signed in (Yes) so you do not need to log in again next time.
- After successfully logging in, students will be directed to the main Dashboard of Moodle
NOTE: If you are a new student and have just enrolled or registered for a class today, please allow up to 24 hours for your Moodle account to be activated. Your course will appear on your Moodle Dashboard on the first day the course officially begins, as listed in the class schedule.

3. Select Your Course
When accessing a course, users will see the general course overview, including:
Course title and description Start and end dates Examination schedule Quiz timelines Assignment submission deadlines.
To review detailed weekly learning tasks, as well as information about the Instructor and Academic Administration, students should click “Study Plan” in the course Syllabus.
4. Discussion Forum
The Discussion Forum is a shared space for communication and discussion among course members, including instructors, students, and academic administrators. Discussions focus on issues and real-world situations related to the course content.
Forum Interface:
Displays all discussion topics Shows the topic creator and the most recent contributor
Create a New Discussion Topic:
Click “Add a new discussion topic” Enter the topic title and content To attach files, click “Advanced”, then select “Post to forum”
⚠️ Note: This is a general academic discussion forum. All posts must be relevant to the course content. Irrelevant topics are not permitted.
Reply to a Discussion Topic:
Click on the topic you wish to respond to Select “Reply” Enter your response and click “Post to forum”
5. Online Quizzes
Quiz Interface
How to Complete a Quiz:
Select the correct answers for each question Click “Finish attempt” at the bottom of the quiz page
The system will display a quiz summary, allowing students to:
Review their answers, or Submit the quiz and complete the attempt
Students may then review their quiz results.
6. Assignment Submission
Students upload their assignment file and click “Submit” to complete the submission process.
